The UNITeS Video Teleconferencing System (ViTS) Voice Teleconferencing System
(VoTS) Engineering (VVE & Engineering
Support (VVES)) Group provides a myriad of services to the teleconferencing
community. UNITeS ViTS VoTS Engineering is the NASA standard for teleconference
room research, testing, design and implementation with well over 200 rooms
in service and continued growth. To verify rooms are operational, ViTS VoTS
Engineering Support assists the ViTS Engineering Department with Certification
Test Plans, registration, documentation and checklists for each new video
unit. This group also provides support for new ViTS rooms with Verizon bridge
registration, training materials and user operation guides for equipment.
They are responsible for first-line troubleshooting to isolate network and
room equipment technical problems. ViTS Room Operators as well as high-level
NASA officials are given presentations and receive training on the use of
new or existing video conference equipment from ViTS VoTS Engineering Support.
